Maca Collagen Cafe Latte
Maca, a Peruvian root vegetable, is known as an adrenal adaptogen and a super food for our hormones, containing a number of essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Those of us in midlife struggling with perimenopause symptoms such as low libido, low energy, hot flashes, improving mood, lowering blood pressure and overall feelings of wellbeing will benefit from 1-2 tsp/day.
Start off your mornings with a coffee your body will love!
What you need:
- 1/4-1/2 tsp of maca
- 1 tsp of coconut oil
- 2 tsp collagen powder
- 1/2 cup organic unsweetened soy milk or oat milk
- 1/3 cup freshly brewed dark roast organic espresso coffee
- sprinkle with cinnamon
optional 1/4 tsp of honey to sweeten or a tsp of cacao powder to make a mocha latte!
What you do:
Add milk & coconut oil to a small pot and heat gently on the stove. If you have a milk frother, you can heat your milk in that works too! Brew your coffee, add in the collagen, maca and heated milk. Sweeten with a bit of honey if you need it.
