Lemon and ginger are key for knocking those cold viruses out cold.
From supporting liver health and fighting inflammation, this concoction is the perfect blend of good health!
Ginger is a potent anti-viral substance that prevents the adhesion of viruses to the upper respiratory mucosa. Lemon is high in vitamin C and raw honey is antimicrobial as well as a natural sweetener.
If you take this at the first sign of sickness, you can generally kick the cold to the curb rather quickly!
What you need:
2–4 ounces (4-8 tbsp) of ginger juice (yup it’s a lot!)
juice of one-half lemon
large tablespoon of raw honey
1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
What you do:
Juice (or grate on a fine setting) 1–2 pounds of ginger; place juice in a jar and refrigerate. Juice a fresh lemon and add ginger, honey and water to your favorite mug.
Drink 2–6 cups of this a day, sipping slowly throughout the day.
