Limey Homemade Guacamole

Who doesn’t love a zesty guacamole? Whether you are an avid snacker of organic corn chips & nachos or love an an array of Mexican dishes with dollops of the deliciousness…guacamole is a must have in my house! …I even put it on my morning eggs! 🙂

Did you know that guacamole is also considered a powerhouse for your hormones?  Yes, indeed, there are a handful of foods that you could add to your diet that will ‘take the bite out’ of the effects we suffer during menopause and this recipe right here includes 4 of them!

What are you waiting for? …dig in!

What you need to make guacamole: 

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • Juice of one lime (or lemon or both!)
  • Clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • small amount Jalapeno pepper (optional – I don’t use as too much spice gives me a hot flash!)
  • Handful of cilantro or parsley
    1-2 tbsp cumin
  • Himalayan sea salt
  • Pepper

What you do:

Add everything to the food processor and pulse until you get desired consistency. Garnish with few sprigs of parsley or cilantro. Dip, dollop and devour!
